Partnering with our Product and InfoSec teams, the Director of Production Engineering will lead the team that owns the deployment, support and stewardship of our world-class customer facing global networks for both cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) and on-prem (sites, data centers). This leader is in charge of maintenance and operations of providing Networking services for critical applications, voice, video, Unified Communications and Contact Center environments consisting of 20 corporate locations, 2 major data centers servicing approximately 12,000 employees and more than 48,000 customers in 150+ countries across multiple industries.Your Impact Thought leadership in the areas of enterprise-class data center networks, emerging technologies (NFV, Containerization, Orchestration, NaaS, LAN overlays, SDx), and network automation and driving efficiencies into the support and stewardship processesOwn network architecture for the organizationBuild & drive team to adopt IaC for managing InfrastructureBuild a strong network team, Interview/hire new employees, evaluate performance (quarterly/annual) and recommend training and personnel actions where requiredRun the org as a product owner with clear goals and milestonesCollaborate and partner with various product teams in the Company to provide quick GTM servicesAdvise and partner with other leaders based on needs of infrastructure and securityImplement technology lifecycle strategy (current, emerging, sunset) and procurement strategiesDevelop and manage operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLA, & optimize delivery times (value streams optimization)Collect, track, and analyze performance data for the purposes of improving operations, forecasting staffing needs and effectively utilizing all available resources - Maintain effective network operations plans, processes and proceduresResponsible for all network changes and implementation in testing and production with final go / no go decision making authority for Network, Voice, & Telecom related initiatives and issuesBudget planning (capital & operational expenditures) and spendsEnsure compliance with established industry rules, regulations and best practicesQualificationsYour ExperienceSoftware leader with strong experience in networking (on-prem & cloud)Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and its challenges.Must be a forward thinker in bringing Devops/SRE practices to networking ( NetDevOps ) with experience in network automationA minimum of 8 years' industry experience with approximately 3 in a management function.L4/L7 Firewall experience preferredAbility to assess and modernize existing networks and systemsAdvanced network and/or IT certification (PCNSE, CCIE, CCNP, CISSP) or equivalentExperience with industry leading network equipment; Palo Alto Networks, Arista, Cisco, F5/Avi Networks etc.Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SNMP, MPLS, MCAST, QoS, WCCP, SIP, and IPSECInfrastructure: AWS, Azure, LAN, WAN, MPLS, & WirelessAbility to travel 10% or more of the timeExperience in Python, Git, Ansible would be a huge plusAdditional InformationThe TeamWorking at a high-tech cybersecurity company within Information Technology is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
