In this highly influential role, you will be leading engineers across the company to design and deliver power solutions that demonstrate our best ideas across the full spectrum of Apple products. Key Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern SoC power delivery; power state management, power and performance tradeoffs, throttling techniques, thermal constraints, etc.
• Experience architecting PMICs and power converters for mobile SoCs.
• Fundamental understanding of various power delivery components, multiphase buck & boost converters, PMICs, LDOs, charge pumps, ADCs & DACs, etc.
• Ability to work cross functionally to build consensus and alignment between multiple independent teams at Apple
• Excellent communication skills are critical.
• BS and 20+ years of relevant industry experience. Description As the SoC Power Delivery Architect, you will:Define next generation integrated PMICs and power converters to support Apple SoCs. Work with SoC architects, system engineers and design teams to architect the next generation power delivery solutions. Analyze and compare solutions, and then drive team insights and architecture forward into system implementation, SoC silicon and power delivery silicon. Work with product teams to anticipate use case battery life and performance and thermal impact. Drive next generation power delivery developments with implementation and design teams. Conduct feasibility studies and work with development teams to deliver solutions. Education & Experience BS and 20+ years of relevant industry experience. M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred.
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
