Job Description Job Description Description: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers through accurate responsive service, and ongoing sales support. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring orders are processed correctly, questions are resolved efficiently, and any issues are escalated appropriately. The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in delivering a smooth and positive customer experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Support Enter customer sales orders accurately and in a timely manner when needed Verify pricing, product specifications, and order details prior to processing Confirm orders with customers and provide order acknowledgements as needed Provide pricing, lead times, and order status to customers and sales team Customer Service Serve as a primary point of contact for Northern region customers Respond to customer inquiries related to products Proactively communicate delays, changes, or issues impacting customer orders Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent follow-up Invoicing & Documentation Support Assist with invoicing as needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness Review invoices for discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues Maintain proper documentation for orders, changes, and customer communications Issue Resolution & Escalation Identify and resolve routine customer issues independently Escalate complex or sensitive issues to leadership when appropriate Follow established processes to ensure issues are documented and resolved efficiently Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with production, operations, shipping, and accounting teams Support internal communication to ensure customer requirements are met Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives Requirements: Education and Experience: 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or order entry Experience working with ERP and CRM systems preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Packages and basic spreadsheet functions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset Willingness to learn products, systems, and sales processes Team-oriented with the ability to take direction and feedback Work Environment: This role operates primarily in an office-based setting within a fast-paced, customer-driven sales environment, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor for coordination or job-related purposes. The employee must be comfortable working in both office and shop environments and comply with all company safety protocols. Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to handle various physical demands, including: Sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking. Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing 25-30 pounds. Using office equipment with manual dexterity. Reaching for items in both office and shop environments. Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels in the metal shop, with the need for personal protective equipment (PPE). Adequate vision and hearing for communication and monitoring activities. Adherence to safety protocols and ergonomic practices to prevent strain from repetitive tasks such as typing and data entry. Compensation: This position is non-exempt and complies with California's wage and hour laws. Compensation for this role ranges from $ 20 to $ 25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
